Why I Recorded The Main Street Electrical Parade
The foremost reason I recorded the MSEP was because I love the music. I have been a keyboard
record. The musicianship of Paul Beaver, Jim Christensen, Don Dorsey, and Jack Wagner, were
"the best". My version was recorded like the vintage versions were recorded. Old School!
Through the years the MSEP has evolved (as it should) to remain fresh and vibrant. In
recent years it has been added to California Adventures Theme Park. Many people first
nice for those same people (who are now parents and grandparents) to be able to let their
children hear this parade as they once heard it back when they were growing up.
My version consists of hand picked selections that have been in the MSEP over the past 30
years. Some of these selections are no longer in the live parade at the parks. These are newly
recorded tracks of the old parade. They will not be exactly the same but are very close. I also
licensed 3 songs from "The Jungle Book" and they will make their parade debut in this version of
the MSEP.
This collectible audio CD is my tribute to the spirit of this most beloved parade and to the Disney
music production artists that created it. I spent 2 years consisting of several hours per week
recording this salute. It is full of memories for me and I hope it will be for you and your family.
